The Sad Eyes and Forgiving Heart of a Dog Who Survived Hell

He survived opposite all odds, he holds in a heartbeat, and he will shortly be looking for a perpetually home.

Meet Trooper, a tragedian if ever there was one. The dog was found starving in an Ohio state park with a terrible gunshot wound to a front leg. The duke was dangling, and in shreds, and he was positively in impassioned pain. (You can see photos of him pre-amputation, if we unequivocally wish to get mad. They’re not for a sensitive, so don’t click unless we can hoop it.)

Danyel Bageant, a Fayette County Humane agent, told 10TV that Trooper might have been walking around for weeks after someone shot him.

“He was so pitiful,” Bageant said. “His small eyes looked so sad, and we knew we had to save his life.” (His eyes still demeanour so sad, don’t they?)

He’s doing good as a new tripod, and is apparently a dear, forgiving dog. “Trooper is such a sweet, friendly man who holds really fast with anyone who gives him a cuddle,” according to a Fayette County Humane Society website.

Trooper is improving in a encourage home. When he is good enough, he will be accessible for adoption. Anyone meddlesome in adopting Trooper (or other animals in a area) should revisit a Fayette County Humane Society website.
